CHOOSE YOUR OPTION

Groups can choose between two options: a guided visit led by a musée Rodin guide, or a self-guided visit, with or without an outside professional tour guide.

▶ How does the guided visit work?

Guided visits are led by a musée Rodin guide. They let you explore the collections and exhibitions through a variety of themes and in several languages, tailored to different types of participants.

The guided visit is offered as a package: reservation fee, admission tickets, the guide’s services, and the audio headsets needed for the visit.

Adults 10-15 / 16-20 / 21-25 people
French €340 / €395 / €445
EN · DE · ES · IT €360 / €415 / €550
Other languages €490 / €550 / €600
Ages 18-25 (EEA) ≤ 30 people
French €225
EN · DE · ES · IT €260
Other languages €380
Under 18 ≤ 30 people
French €190
EN · DE · ES · IT €230
Other languages €340
▶ How far in advance do I need to book a guided visit?
Visits in French and English must be booked at least 20 days before your desired date.

For visits in German, Spanish, Italian, or Chinese, requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance through our dedicated form.

If you’re past these deadlines, we recommend choosing a self-guided visit if available.
▶ What does the guided visit package include?
The package includes everything you need for the visit. You do not need to purchase admission tickets, the reservation fee, or audio headsets separately.
▶ How long does a guided visit last?
Guided visits last between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the theme chosen and the type of participants.
▶ What languages are guided visits offered in?
Guided visits are offered:
  • in French and English, with online booking;
  • in German, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese, on request through our dedicated form.
Would you like to book a visit in another language? Contact us through our form.
▶ How does the self-guided visit work?

Self-guided visits let you explore the museum at your own pace, with or without an outside professional tour guide.

For a self-guided visit, plan on a reservation fee (€35 for one area, €50 for two areas), admission tickets for participants who aren’t exempt, and audio headsets if you want to give commentary in front of the artworks.

Adults ≤ 25 people
Reservation fee €35
Ticket/person €11
Chaperone 1 free
Audio 10-15 ppl €30
Audio 16-20 ppl €35
Audio 21-25 ppl €40
Ages 18-25 (EEA) ≤ 30 people
Reservation fee €35
Ticket Free
Chaperone 1 free
Audio €27
Under 18 ≤ 30 people
Reservation fee €35
Ticket Free
Chaperone 1+ free*
Audio €27

*Number of free chaperones depends on the age of the participants.

▶ What is the reservation fee for?
The reservation fee reserves a visit time slot for your group. It is not an admission ticket.

For a self-guided visit, you will therefore need: a reservation fee, the necessary admission tickets, and audio headsets if your group wants to give commentary in front of the artworks.
▶ How do I book if participants qualify for different rates?
Choose the reservation fee that matches the majority of your group.

Each participant must then have the ticket that corresponds to their situation. Proof of eligibility will be requested at the entrance.
▶ Do chaperones need a ticket?
The reservation fee includes one free chaperone.

For school groups, several chaperones may enter free of charge depending on the age of the participants:
  • preschools: 1 chaperone for every 7 children;
  • elementary schools: 1 chaperone for every 9 children.
▶ Do I need to book tickets for participants who get in free?
No. Participants who qualify for free admission don’t need an admission ticket. Check the list of free admission conditions to see which documents may be required.

Their number doesn’t need to be entered at the time of purchase, up to the maximum capacity allowed for the group.
▶ Can I bring my own professional tour guide?
Yes. You may visit the museum with your own professional tour guide provided they are authorized to speak in front of the artworks in accordance with the visitor rules.

In Paris, when speaking in front of the artworks, the guide must use the museum’s audio headsets. Outside equipment is not permitted.
▶ Who may speak in front of the artworks?
Speaking in front of the artworks is reserved for authorized group leaders: professional tour guides, teachers leading their own students, social services or disability-sector group leaders trained by the musée Rodin, museum staff, and individuals authorized by the museum’s management. See the full list.

Renting audio headsets is mandatory; outside equipment is not permitted.
▶ Are audio headsets mandatory?
Yes. The museum’s audio headsets are mandatory whenever a group leader wishes to give commentary in front of the artworks.

They are not mandatory for groups of children aged 10 and under.

BOOK YOUR VISIT

Reservations are required for all groups of 10 or more participants, whether they choose a guided or self-guided visit.

▶ On which days can I book a group visit?
Time slots are available every 15 minutes, Tuesday through Sunday.
Public holidays and free first Sundays of the month (October through March) are not open for bookings.
▶ What is the booking deadline?
  • Self-guided visit: up to the same day, subject to availability
  • Guided visit in French or English: at least 20 days in advance
  • Guided visit in German, Spanish, Italian, or Chinese: at least 30 days in advance
▶ What is the maximum group size?
A group must have at least 10 people. The maximum capacity is:
  • 25 people for adult groups (guide or chaperone included)
  • 30 people for groups of minors (guide or chaperone included)
Beyond these limits, your group must be split into several groups and booked separately.
▶ My group has more than 25 or 30 people. How do I book?
If your group exceeds the maximum capacity, you must split it into several subgroups and make a separate reservation for each. Each subgroup must stay within the maximum capacity and have its own visit time slot.

Since group time slots are offered every 15 minutes, you can book several consecutive slots, subject to availability.

To make multiple reservations:
  1. Add a first reservation fee to your cart by selecting the date, time, and area you want.
  2. Log in to your account to continue your booking.
  3. Click “Continue shopping” to return to the group offer.
  4. Add a new reservation fee for the second subgroup, choosing a consecutive time slot.
  5. Repeat for each subgroup.
▶ I’m leading a small group (fewer than 10 people). Do I need to book?
No. Groups of fewer than 10 people don’t need a group reservation.

If you’d like to give commentary during your visit, audio headsets are available individually on site for €2 per person.
▶ I don’t know the exact number of participants yet. Can I still book?
Yes, you can secure your visit time slot now.

For a self-guided visit, you can book your time slot right away. The necessary admission tickets can be added later, online or on site, based on your final group headcount.

For a guided visit, choose the package that matches your expected headcount. If your group size changes, you can upgrade to the next package by paying the difference on site.

3

FINALIZE YOUR BOOKING

Group reservations are paid exclusively online, before the visit.

▶ How do I pay for my reservation?
Group reservations are paid online by credit card before the visit. Payment on site is only possible for additional services.
▶ Can I change or cancel my reservation?
Reservation fees and guided visit packages cannot be changed or refunded.

Admission tickets and audio headsets remain valid for one year from the date of purchase and can be reused for a new reservation, with a new reservation fee.
▶ Can I use group-rate tickets without booking a time slot?
No. They must be paired with a reservation fee.
4

PREPARE FOR YOUR ARRIVAL

Allow a little extra time for security checks and the distribution of audio headsets.

▶ What time should we arrive?
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your reserved time. This time is needed for security checks and, if necessary, for distributing audio headsets.

Please note: the reserved time is the time you enter the visit area, not the time you arrive at the museum.

Make sure all participants are gathered before your reserved time to make entry easier for the group.
▶ What if we’re late?

For a self-guided visit, access to the reserved area is not guaranteed if you arrive late. Allow plenty of time for your trip and the entrance checks.

For a guided visit, if you are more than 20 minutes late, the guided visit will be canceled. Be sure to build in enough of a buffer so that your whole group is there on time.

▶ What documents do we need to show on arrival?
Depending on your situation, you will need to show your reservation fee, your admission tickets, and, if applicable, proof of eligibility for free admission.

Have your documents ready before you arrive to make entry easier for the group.
▶ Can I add tickets if my group size changes?

For a self-guided visit, the necessary admission tickets can be purchased later, online or on site (within the group’s maximum size).

For a guided visit, if your group exceeds the group headcount covered by your package, you can upgrade to the next package by paying the difference on site, subject to capacity.

ENJOY YOUR VISIT

What to know once you’re on site: coat check, drawing, and dining.

▶ Does the museum have a coat check for groups?
Yes, for medium-sized bags. Because of the Vigipirate security plan, suitcases and large bags are not allowed.
▶ Can we draw in the museum?
Yes. Drawing from the sculptures is permitted, with a limit of two artists per room. Groups who want to draw must therefore spread across the museum’s different areas. Drawings must not exceed A3 size, and only dry media are allowed.

In the sculpture garden in Paris, the number of artists is not limited provided they don’t obstruct foot traffic or other visitors.
▶ Can my group have lunch on site?
The L’Augustine café-restaurant, in the sculpture garden, serves food Tuesday through Sunday. Be sure to book for your group.

School groups may also be permitted to bring a light picnic, only in the sculpture garden, in the area behind the hornbeam hedge.
